Alicia Plemmons is an assistant professor of economics and finance at Southern Illinois University, Edwards. Their research interests include using applied spatial methods to determine how regulatory changes affect entrepreneurial labor markets. Plemmons earned a PhD in economics from Georgia State University, an MA in economics from University of South Carolina, and a BS in business administration from University of South Carolina. She was a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat fellow during the 2018-19 academic year and a Mercatus Center James Buchanan fellow in 2022.
