Originally published in The Review of Austrian Economics

This essay aims to provide the reader with an overview of the main contents of Opposing the Crusader State and discusses some of the central themes in the writings of Ludwig von Mises, F.A. Hayek and Murray Rothbard.

The purpose of this essay is twofold. First, it provides the reader with an overview of the main contents of Opposing the Crusader State. Second, it discusses some of the central themes in the writings of Ludwig von Mises, F.A. Hayek and Murray Rothbard on the topics of U.S. foreign policy, global interventionism, and the alternative of noninterventionism. In doing so, this paper hopes to show how elements of the insights of the authors in Opposing the Crusader State can be found in the work of these scholars.
