Roxanne Alvarez

Roxanne Alvarez is a Mercatus Masters Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She works with the Social Change Project and co-authored an article about the economics of charity for the Gulf Coast Recovery Project's publication, Local Knowledge. Other research interests include entrepreneurship in the informal economy, applying free market principles to social work, and the future of microfinance.

Ms. Alvarez earned a MA from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago and a BA in Psychology from American University.
