Marcus Shera is a PhD student in Economics at George Mason University. He earned an MA and a BS in Economics from George Mason University. He was a PhD Fellow during the 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023 academic years, and an Undergraduate Fellow during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years and the Fall 2019 academic term. His research interests include economics of religion. In particular, he is interested in how religious institutions keep themselves insulated from politics.
