Banks That Don’t Lend?

The Social Change Project at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University presents "Banks That Don’t Lend? Unlocking Credit to Spur Growth in Developing Countries," a Brown Bag Lecture by Reid W. Click, Associate Professor of International Business and International Affairs at the George Washington University.

Professor Click’s talk will explore how the level of liquidity within the banking systems of developing countries effects economic growth. Drawing on his findings, he will discuss some possible pro-growth policy reforms.

Dr. Click has been a consultant for several international organizations, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the United Nations Development Programme, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and has been a Visiting Researcher at the International Centre for the Study of East Asian Development in Japan. He holds a Ph.D in economics and international business from the University of Chicago.
