The Workshop in Philosophy, Politics and Economics was established to encourage and explore the latest research at the intersection of these three disciplines by scholars from across the social sciences and humanities.

Dr. Steven Horwitz, the Charles A. Dana Professor of Economics at St. Lawrence University and a Senior Scholar with the Mercatus Center, hosted a readings and discussion group on Business cycles and Austrian macroeconomics.

Methodology of the Social Sciences Workshop

The Methodology of the Social Sciences Workshop provided an opportunity to critically examine some of the key texts on Austrian economic methodology as well discussion on some of the key methodological issues that economic researchers should consider as they pursue their scholarly research.

Practical Econometrics Workshop

Dr. Omar Al-Ubaydli, assistant professor in the Department of Economics at George Mason University and and a Research Fellow with the Mercatus Center, hosted a workshop on practical and applied econometrics.
